Reason for Replacement
Water Pressure Inside
Water Pressure City
This water heater was replaced because it was a 40 gallon and been producing inconsistent amounts of hot water. Turning up the temperature of the tank can sometimes help with this issue and is usually caused by sediment collecting inside the tank. This water heater was not leaking despite being under 96 psi of water pressure. The PRV was 17 years old and was not restricting water pressure.
Pressure Reducing Valve replaced and thermal expansion tank installed. The flue on this 17 year old house has started to deteriorate and will likely need to be replaced within the next 5 years. They will soon be upgrading to a high efficiency furnace and will plan to replace the entire horizontal section of flue in 4" type b vent.
