Feedback This is water heater lasted 10 years, while our first one only lasted five. Still not great longevity considering we replaced the anode rod at 5 years and I flushed the sediment every four months.

Old Description
This house was under some harsh conditions which most certainly attributed to the short lifespan of this Bradford White water heater. The house was built with a check valve in the water meter which keeps water from moving out of the house and causes water pressure surges. There was also a water softener installed which will also shorten the life of a water heater. The anode rod of this water heater was replaced when the unit was about 6 years old which didn't seem to have much impact on increasing the lifespan.
New Description
New AO Smith water heater installed. Flue was redone to improve drafting. Homeowner was also advised to contact water company to request for the check valve to be removed from the water heater.
