Chase was very professional and explained what might be needed in the future. He was willing to answer additional questions that I had and helped me out on another minor issue. Very courteous and was very careful moving the new and old hot water heaters in and out of the house. I would recommend KC Water Heaters. I feel the price we paid for the water heater, installation, parts, labor and removing the old was a very fair price. Heater was installed this morning - if it does what we were told I am sure we will be very satisfied.

The old water heater was purchased at Home Depot and installed by the Homeowner. The tank had backdrafted from the first day it was installed. It took about 6 years of the tank drafting into the house before the pilot finally started to have issues.
A new water heater was installed along with new venting. There was also a negative pressure issue that was identified and resolved. This is a great example of why you should always hire a licensed professional to install a gas water heater.

The old Bradford White water heater was just over 10 years old and had started to leak from the bottom. These conditions should have allowed for a longer lifespan that it did.
New AO Smith installed. Opening in chimney was capped off. Most difficult part about this install was getting the tanks down the small stairway in this older home.

Replace leaking tank which had lost hot water.
Install new AO Smith 50 gallon hot water heater and install a thermal expansion tank to help regulate high water pressure. The relief valve of the old water heater had leaked due to thermal expansion.
